Official Visa Photo Requirements
Visa applications are frequently rejected due to incorrect photo specifications. Always use a recent color photo taken within the last 6 months.
1. US Visa (DS-160):
- Size: 2 x 2 inches (51 x 51 mm).
- Pixels: Min 600x600, Max 1200x1200.
- File Size: Less than 240 KB.
- Background: Plain white or off-white.
2. Schengen (Europe) / UK / Australia:
- Size: 35mm width x 45mm height.
- Face Height: Head must occupy 70-80% of the photo (32-36mm).
- Background: Light grey or cream (White is acceptable for some).
