Designing a Facebook Cover Photo is tricky because the image is displayed differently on Mobile devices versus Desktop computers.

1. The "Safe Zone" Rule:

Desktop displays cover photos at 820x312 pixels. However, Smartphones display them closer to 640x360 pixels (taller).
This means Facebook crops the Top and Bottom on desktop, and crops the Left and Right sides on mobile.
